Writing a Gender Bender inspired by an AskReddit post, need some advice

So I have an idea inspired by this AskReddit thread, and it's called Weekend Woman. It's about a man who gets cursed to turn into a beautiful woman every Friday for three days i.e. back to male on Monday until the next Friday. Naturally he makes the most of it and even starts his own cam-show for some extra income, he even has his own website where he posts images and videos of himself.

Now the plot is that he still feels lonely and unloved, having to spend 4 days as a dude in a thankless IT job also begins to grate on his psyche. He ends up meeting a woman at work who shares his cynical attitude and they become good friends. He decides he wants to date her but she keeps blowing him off saying she's never free on the weekends.

Desperate to spend time with her, he suggests if she wouldn't mind taking his sister out shopping and show her around town since his "sister" is new in town. The girl agrees for once. The hero goes out to meet the girl but is surprised to find a man instead who claims to be the girl's brother (with proof) and says that his sister probably is trying to get him to hook up after a bad break-up. The hero at first wants nothing to do with the guy but feels strangely attracted to him and they decide to spend the Sunday together before eventually having sex.

Naturally you've figured this out, when they wake on Monday they return to their natural forms and realize the truth. Both of them are shocked to find out that they've been cursed like this.

So the story that follows this would be of two people who feel like "losers" and "misfits" 4 days of the week and basically super perfect gods on three. They eagerly await the coming Friday to the point that it starts affecting everything around them. I do however wanted them to fall in love even as their natural selves which in turn sort of stabilizes them and they start to enjoy life beyond those three days.

All this said, does it all sound too much like a conventional drama rather than an erotica? Like does the plot sound too serious for something like this?
