A very peculiar moment in KoD (spoilers all)

Spoiler

In KoT, chapter 3, there is a Forsaken meeting that features a moment that I found very odd. Near the end of the chapter, Moridin suggests that the Forsaken try to kill Mat and Perrin and shows them what they look like as if it's apparently the first time. Here is what stood out for me:

• I find it kind of hilarious that the image shows the ta’veren in country clothes despite the fact that they haven’t dressed like that for several books. It suggests that Moridin had to pull out the same old graphics that he had made for the Darkfriend social in TGH, because he didn’t have anything more current.

• It’s kind of bizarre, though, that apparently the Forsaken present at the meeting had supposedly not been shown what Perrin and Mat looked like. Like, how is that possible, when regular Darkfriends had their image burned into their minds?

• To further underline the strangeness of this, Semirhage says something like "So that's why they look like", and remarks that had she been shown Mat and Perrin's image before, perhaps they would be dead already. Of course, she is realizing that Tylin’s toy was Mat Cauthon. Which means that she had wondered what Perrin and Mat looked like and had known to kill them if she saw them, but for some reason never thought to ask anyone for a picture.

• The scene is an Aran’gar POV, and yet Aran’gar doesn’t seem to recognize Mat, despite the fact that she met him in Salidar and everyone there called him by name and spoke about his relationship to the Dragon Reborn.

I'm not saying that none of this can be fanwanked and explained away, but it still struck as a very strange scene for the 11th book of the series.
