Munchkin Marvel Special Infinity Stones Rules
These are the rules that my friends and I play with regarding the infinity stones. It makes them OP but still balanced. My friends and I also play with a 7 card hand, so keep that in mind. We don't have the gauntlet card so we just use a glove to represent the gauntlet. If you have any suggestions or ways to balance it please let me know in the comments.
Infinity Gauntlet
Requires you to discard 1,500 gold pieces worth of items to forge it. You are now Thanos. Gives +2 and an extra +2 per infinity stone you have equipped. The gauntlet can be taken from you only if another player challenges you. It is immune to any curses or other cards that would require you to discard it. If you have the gauntlet and all six stones, you may use the snap, but only once, and at any time.
Infinity Stones
Each stone gives 2 powers You may use each power per infinity stone you have at any time during your turn. You may only use each infinity stone once every other turn. This is only IF you have the infinity gauntlet. If not, the stone only does what it says on the card. If you draw an infinity stone from the treasure deck, no card can negate you from drawing it. The stone is yours until you give it away, trade it, sell it, or another player takes it from you using other means. At any time, you may discard 2,500 gold pieces worth of items to take the topmost infinity gauntlet from the treasure discard pile. Stones cost gold pieces to use. The price depends on the power. To use a power discard treasures that are equal to or greater than the price.
Challenging:
Any other player can challenge Thanos for the gauntlet. If you are challenged, compare your combat strength against their combat strength. The gauntlet gives no bonus in a challenge, nor can you use any of its powers during the challenge. If you lose the challenge, the winner receives the gauntlet and any stones equipped to it unless you have a combat strength of 25 or more, not including any one-shots, allies, or the gauntlet. The loser of the challenge also loses 2 levels. You may only challenge Thanos once, until someone else has the gauntlet, then you may challenge them instead.
The Snap:
Snap your fingers, half of all players die, rounded up, at Thanos’ choosing. You are now limited to only 1 hand, any equipped items that exceed this limit are discarded, even ones using a cheat card. No card in existence can undo this scar. You are also cursed with the top 5 curses in the discard pile for your sins. Any avengers get -2 for the rest of the game and cannot remove their avenger’s status unless a card says to do so. The gauntlet is now broken and cannot be used or equipped for the rest of the game.
The Stones Power:
