I finished a Plague's Tale and... why is this game so acclaimed most people?

Don't get me wrong. It was good, I'm glad I played it, but I feel like people are seeing it as if it's an awesome masterpiece of game design. And I don't really get it.

Like, I can normally see why noise are being made for certain games even when I'm not personally fond of them. But I don't really understand this one specifically.

A Plague's Tale is good, but I don't know why there was so much noise about it.

Is it because it comes from an Indie game company?
