Ending Theory (idk if a ending theory counts as a spoiler but I'll tag it anyway, no real spoilers here though)

I've been thinking about this one possibility in which the final demon is housed in Dororo's body or is on the brink of death and Hyakkimaru tries to make his own deal with the demons to get her back.

Either exchanging his life for hers or trading his body again (this time consensually of course) to get her back. It would be nice for Hyakkimaru to at least get his eyes first so he could actually look at Dororo before giving himself up again.

I'm imagining Dororo waking up after the deal has been made and seeing Hyakkimaru as a doll again, can't smile, can't see, hear, talk, or feel. But he'll know Dororo is there and she weeps for him but takes his hand and they continue traveling in a similar fashion to how they did in the first couple of episodes.

It may not be as extreme, it may just be like the blood will tell ending but Hyakkimaru instead actually keeps one of his arms prosthetic rather than trying to go off somewhere and exorcise the demon from some random guy (that was def random tbh..) in order to be with Dororo still until the inevitable.

Or slightly happier maybe even though Hyakkimaru wouldn't be able to talk physically he could talk to Dororo telepathically like in the manga, since if Hyakki made this deal it would bind Dororo and Hyakkimaru's souls together. Dororo would be the only one to hear him but I'm sure that doesn't matter.

Almost like a SOTC ending where Wander gets another chance at life by being reborn as a baby after he's been purged of the demon energy he's been collecting.
