Starting the conversation
Hi everyone,
I use Grindr, big surprise, among other apps, to meet someone for a date, or friends, but ideally to start a relationship. The major problem is, there’s hardly even conversation in it for me.
I try to reach out with polite messages, complementary at times, but not always. Really, I just try to say something to get the ball rolling and gauge interest.
More often than not, it’s met with silence, which I respect as non-interest. Sometimes it’s conversation where the guy only responds with one worded texts, which I again take as disinterest.
I’m trying to take things slow and date and start a relationship before hooking up, as getting to know someone is very important to me.
I want to know what kinds of things you all say to start a conversation. Or how do you get to the place where you both can actually go on a date?
