New vegan group for Los Angeles!
Hey everyone! I hope it’s ok to post this here. I’ve done activism, volunteered for the Vegan society and other vegan organizations, been part of vegan communities in different countries and on two different continents for almost a decade and noticed some issues with the current and main Facebook group for L.A.
Namely, it has now been almost a week since the moderator has approved any posts. Several people have asked her to add other moderators and she refused saying “you don’t always get what you want!”.
This is preventing us from sharing events, political activism, openings and ideas. And yesterday it made it harder for me to find help when I found an injured bird and knew the one place that might have knowledgeable people would need three days to approve the post. Los Angeles is one of the most thriving vegan communities and is being stifled by things like this.
As such I made a new Facebook group so L.A. and CA can have a more active community 🙂 Please invite your friends! If you know people in LA, please invite them! Thank you!
