Was Kevin the best part of the documentary? Maybe.

That might be a bit dramatic but dang. I've never disliked Kevin. He wasn't my "favorite" but I always liked him and appreciated the enthusiasm that he brought to everything. He always seemed happy and like he was truly enjoying everything they were doing.

But in the documentary.... He pulled at my heartstrings. There was the scene where he asks why they performed without him and Joe gave it to him straight up. That had to be painful to sit there an listen to. Even though, I think, Joe explained himself well. And explained that he now understands but that this is what he felt at the time. Not faulting Joe at all because you can't fault someone for how they feel. But still. That was hard to watch.

And then at the end when he was talking about how his daughter is a HUGE Jonas Brothers fan but never got to see him perform live. (Which by the way - her loving JB is maybe my favorite thing ever) And then he said something like "They know me as dad. They never got to see me doing the thing that I loved more than anything. They never got to see me when I was great." Jeez Louise Kevin talk about heartbreaking. You ARE great. I'm pissed off at all the Anti-Kevin fans from 2008 again. I'm upset that, from what I remember from back in the day, Kevin wasn't as appreciated as he should have been.
