Self watered grow tent

Hey guys so i stumbled upon this guy awhile back and he has made some very good videos involving growing. He also started a small grow tent awhile ago which a lot of people liked so hes currently doing a kickstart to see if anyone is interested. Im pretty interested but it is about $450 usd. But at the same time there's a lot of cool gadgets in the tent and it barely requires any work.

So..... i was just wondering other peoples opinions on it? or is it better to just go the regular way and buy all the separate parts from ebay and have a cheap set up? or invest the money in this
