[All] Garland says goodbye to Bobbie
Episode 8 - May the Giant Be with You / Bobbie joins Major Briggs at the RR, and the Major shares a vision of Bobbie’s future
im throwing this thought in here, not because i believe the scene is of profound importance to the plot developments of the show, but because its one of the most moving and poignant scenes in the entire filmed Twin Peaks universe, imo
ive always enjoyed the speculation that this was the final moment of Major Briggs’ life. he had already been time-hopping, already been abducted and returned, already spent time in the mauve, and knew his death was imminent
and he makes one last trip in time, to meet his wayward and directionless son on some random day at the RR, and give him one last story, one last vision of who his son could be, a vision that will change his sons life
then he gets up, walks out, and goes to his death
bobbie will see the major again of course. but this is the last time the major will ever see bobbie
