How to get started in being a dom

I am a mid twenties straight guy that has always enjoyed kink in the bedroom. Up till now it has all be very amature and soft but I have a growing desire to explore this in more depth. Although I have some preferences, I am not locked into one kind of kink, but am looking to explore the many varieties. I'm based in Scotland, so I suspect that some information on this forum doesn't quite fit my situation. But

does anyone have solid advice on where I can find playmates? Or even better, know where I could find a mentor to give me advice?
