Updates and stuff
My QC manager from Peru will be here shortly. He is bringing all the samples and size sets. This is good news.
He also informed me yesterday the first 500 units of the drop leaves Peru tomorrow more good news.
The yarn for the bamboo sorona is almost finished being spun. It's being held up do to a workers holiday, bad news. Once they get off holiday it should be in Peru and testing will start, great news.
The underwear is still not here, very bad news. Apparently, a driver delivered it but no one was present to accept the cargo. I call bullshit. Yesterday my QC manager said the shipping company claims everything is damaged and not deliverable, this is very bad news. The silver lining is the factory has taken responsibility and will have replacement underwear in a few weeks. I apologize for all the shipping drama.
If you ordered underwear and shirts, I am shipping your shirts and will ship you underwear when it arrives. There is no reason for more delay.
Compact Bamboo and Supima Cotton
I would like to address the compact bamboo length issue. Let's be clear this was a small amount and it's an easy fix. I am estimating about 35 shirts were longer than normal. Considering there were over 350 shirts made that isn't so horrible. The raw edges can be cut to length if you have the hand to cut them yourselves.
The supima cotton was basically dead on. I have spoken to u/boolves about the compact bamboo and he will not be making more for me. He specializes in cotton and that's all he will be making for me.
I know we have a strong little community here and I dig it but I can't make everyone happy. I will try my best to make things right but WvG is not a unicorn company. We are human and we make mistakes but we also fix them.
I try to push boundaries with new fabrics that have a positive impact on you and the environment. I use the best factories with ethical treatment of their employees and the environment.
I don't know if you guys have seen the movie "Back to School" you might be to young but here is clip that I that I hold true today about the internet. Basically, instead of assuming just ask the source 99.999999% they know best.
