GCMS Autosampler Random Faults Expected?
Hi all, I've tried to get onto the Chromforum site but they seem to have stopped all new user signups so this is the closest I could find.
I've just been assigned a significant portion of work with a GCMS, and basically I'm just wondering if anyone on here has a GCMS with an autosampler (ours is a 6890N with 7683B sampler, but tbh I don't know if this is Agilent specific) that will have a fault on vial sampling for no reason? We've had it serviced multiple times now, but the process is basically just open and close the door and restart the run? Is this an expected thing? Others in the lab just accept it, saying it's one of the .01% of random errors which is still better than manual injections.
Is this just a problem I need to accept as part of the work?
Thanks
