To Haggeby or not to Haggeby, that is the question

I saw the post about a year ago asking for long-term opinions on Haggeby doors. I'm trying to find out if anyone can elaborate further than what is there. When I asked at my local Ikea, they said "Haggeby is really only appropriate for uses like garages and storage areas" - but when I asked why they couldn't say. It's not because Haggeby is a slab white panel (other slab whites are available), and it matches their white cabinet interiors. So, does anyone have insights into construction or other explanations for why Haggeby is so bad? With Haggeby's price point, I can afford to replace one if it is damaged, but should I anticipate them getting damaged more than another design?
