[Poland] Huge bee/wasp

I just had a strange guest in my room - unfortunately no photo, sorry, it managed to find a way out (window) before I managed to snap one. So I will try to describe it the best I can:

• Huge. Definitely at least 3,5 cm long, probably even 4 cm. I'd say 2-2,5 times length of regular wasp, 1,5 times thickness.

• Built like bee/wasp, rather not [hover]fly (but I'm not 100% sure)

• Visible dark yellow/black stripes (like wasp, with visible "sickle" pattern), but also a little fuzzy (like a honeybee)

• Not a regular bumblebee - it was longer, but also slicker, and not that fuzzy. Similar colours, though.

• Heavy and noisy, but solid flyer - reminded me of Mi-24. I could probably catch it, but didn't want to... kind of intimidating size.

• Location: Poland, urban but close to forest
