Conflicting Strategies: What is your play-style?

We read a lot of conflicting strategies:

• Drop into the hot zone, if you die just start a new game.
• Play the edge of the circle!
• Stay far away from the circle, hit the corners and loot.
• Tactical, take your time, move carefully, position and engage when necessary.
• Camp.

It seems like everyone feels there is some sort of official strategy/meta. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I want to describe what I find fun. Personally for me, it's about entertainment, fun and enjoyment. While the way I like to play may not be "meta", I have fun!

My ideal play style:

Drop slightly south of the pit, into the pit, and then pit to slum lakes into run off, or pit into run off into slum lakes. It's conditional, as it depends on the circle and circumstances (such as hearing a firefight west or east).

I like getting the early game gun/loot and immediately seeking out picks, playing rather aggressive for the early game. Loot, picks, loot the boxes.

From this point, it's all about surviving. We got some loot, we got some picks, we got their loot. Now lets survive, switching from an aggressive early game to more of a passive and tactical mid game.

This means taking the high ground, crouching, surveying the area before blindly running into an open place. Marking/pinging activity "watching here, looting here, lets go here, enemy spotted, enemy was here...", creeping through the brush, staying along the cliff side. Stalking our prey, waiting for the perfect opportunity to open fire.

If we see a battle between two, we let them fight it out for a little and as soon as one squad is down we move in and take out the weakened squad, then retreat back to our tactical approach. We creep, crawl and advance carefully. When it's clear, we sprint, dash, and slide. Choosing our battles, choosing the approach and carefully positioning ourselves for each individual encounter.

Sure, this results in "less killz" and "less pointz" (I'm level 50 and have all original skins, never opened loot boxes or changed anything at all). I really don't care about the points and boxes and battle pass crap. I just love that this game can be played with different styles. I love playing a stealthy, tactical and well-thought approach to victory.
