First time renter - would I need to still pay the agency fees if I haven’t signed the TA yet, after june 1st?

Hi! Basically, I’m moving in to a new apartment (south east area) and was wondering if the fees would still apply to my situation as I haven’t actually signed any tenants agreement or do I have to pay them as I technically started the whole process before 1st june. I feel as I’m still a uni student the agency might be treating me differently to professionals with rushing everything for example: 72 hours before moving in they want us to sign TA and pay everything!. I’m also moving in with a room mate as an fyi. Here’s a little timeline of everything:

22 may - made payment to take house off the market.

3 june - get sent breakdown of costs with £1200 deposit, 6 months upfront rent and £900 agency fees.

4 june- sent draft of tenants agreement.

6 june - move in date.
