Dragonfall frame rates are so low

I play on a mediocre laptop so my FPS is 20 at best, usually around 13, and the occasional freezing/stuttering especially when a lot is going on is expected. Most of the time it's still smooth enough for me to enjoy my time, on any map doing any event.

But god forbid Dragonfall is freezing and stuttering every other second, even on "best performance" settings. I can barely even run from point A to point B without having to wait the occasional 10 seconds for my screen to start moving again, so you can imagine what the meta is like.

I know that my partner, who plays on a proper good desktop PC so her game is running at a nice 40 FPS usually, also gets abnormal stuttering issues in Dragonfall specifically.

Is that just a thing with this map? Has anyone else noticed? I really love the map and want to complete achievs on it but it gets hard to have fun on there...
