All my joints pop without pain. Future problem?
I'm a 21 year old male, 205 lbs.
I've been cracking my joints, purposefully or not, for about 6 or 7 years now. All the joints I crack are: all fingers (pulling or pushing knuckles) including thumbs (pulling, two crack locations), right wrist (bend hand in, then out), neck, right elbow (flex bent arm and straighten, still flexed), back (twisting straight torso cw and ccw, sitting or standing), hips (will get tight while sitting sometimes, spreading knees out usually cracks them), both knees (standing, straight legged, plant foot and slightly twist torso), and both ankles (sitting, lift foot off floor, point toes away then bring back up).
If I think about it, I do this ALL the time. Even while writing this post I've taken a few breaks to think and mindlessly crack my fingers and ankles. Whenever I'm sitting and feel like I get stiff in my hands or elbow I just crack it without thinking, and it always cracks whenever I get that stiff feeling; I can't crack them over and over on command. Each listed location has experienced slight, sharp pain when cracking before, but most of the time it's relief that I feel after cracking. My hips, neck, and back experience the most frequent pain when there is pain, in that order.
I used to just shrug it off and blame it on my lifestyle, things I've done like 4 years of HS football lineman (lots and lots of leg work), and for the past 6 years I've been very frequently weightlifting and doing other outdoor activities like mountain biking. But recently it's come to my attention that no one else I know cracks as much as I do. Any thoughts about what I should be thinking about for the future?
