[Question] Is it right for the requester to get the editable (PSD) file from you?

Not sure if I'm in the right spot to ask... but I'd thought I'd ask this sub.

I've been freelancing for a company for over 5 years but there were never any written consent to where I would send them the editable file.. just the print ready or digital file.

They found someone cheaper and want all the working files I've ever done sent to them via dropbox so they can give it to their new designer.

Would I be held accountable if this was a legal matter?
