Long pause when asking question
On the rare occasion I actually decided I needed to try to talk to my nmom and ask her a question. I'd speak to her and usually she wouldn't look at me or acknowledge me or that I spoke. I have memories of her casually watching tv or being on her phone and me walking up, bracing myself before I began speaking. Sometimes I'd even wait for commercial just standing there in silence as she continued to not acknowledge me and still when I spoke she wouldn't either. Anyway, I'd finish my question and there was no noise coming from her for seconds or minutes that felt like hours and I'd just feel either stupid for talking, mad I needed her help anyway, like I am dumb, like just anticipation and frustration like I was waiting on a text from a person irl. I might be rambling but, did you try to talk to your nparent and be ignored completely like you don't exist? Sometimes I'd just walk away after bc I was so annoyed and she'd have the audacity to answer like that whole thing didn't happen but she wouldn't speak up for me to hear her, she'd make it so I had to walk back to hear her and the whole thing began again. She oddly never got angry at me that I remember about my frustration bc she wanted to act like none of it happened I guess
