What was your experience stopping hormonal birth control after 15+ years?

I’m going for my tubal ligation in 2 weeks and I am beyond excited. I want to know what I should expect when I stop the pill. I have been on it since I was 14 (now 30) and I have no idea what to expect.

I’m also getting married in September and am debating staying on the pill until then just in case the transition is awful.
