Anyone else feel that the application/registration programming for BC schools antiquated?
Title error: are antiquated**
I'm applying for BCIT, which will be the 4th post secondary school I've been to in BC. I begin filling out the first page that asks for general information and prerequisites and at the bottom of this page is a link for a pdf form I have to fill out as well.
I finish filling out the pdf, return to the first page and find it has timed out and removed everything I had already filled in. Ok, so I re fill in all of that and go to the second page. The page for submitting transcripts, the pdf I filled out and any other information.
The pdf is too large, to upload so I have to download a program to compress it.
Now for my transcripts. I have to request them online, to be sent via snail mail to myself, then scan them in to send them online to the school. I cant have them mailed to the school because they dont receive hard copies. Yet previous schools have informed me that if I open the transcript myself it is no longer considered official. All of this information is online anyway and it significantly slows the process of a time sensitive application; furthermore, it more than doubles the cost of my application.
Just needed to vent for a second.
