Stuck oil filter need help!?

I was doing an oil change on my old Ford with a 351w. I've done it multiple times on this truck but for some reason I had a shop do it last. They clearly over tightened and the filter is seized. I tried putting a big ole screwdriver through it and using it as a lever and it only tore through the filter and made things worse. It's on the motor really good. Anybody have any tips to get this thing off.
