Choosing a Profession

Hey everyone.

Just a quick question that I'm trying to figure out. So, myself and friends are going to start playing the Witcher TTRPG. I'm looking at the character creation part, more specifically, professions. Apart from Mage, I cant really see why anyone would pick anything other than a Witcher. Has anyone picked something like Merchant or something else? I cant imagine playing through an TTRPG without having fun doing combat etc with fun abilities. If you've gone other routes with your character professions, please tell me how it's going, how you're playing it etc.

Many thanks everyone.
