Vivaldi - regressing?

The last three updates for Vivaldi have each regressed pretty badly in terms of performance. Performance when creating new tabs has deteriorated big time, requiring a browser restart every couple hours. Youtube videos stutter and freeze nonstop.

I doubt it's related to my specs (i7, 32gb RAM), especially considering old versions of Vivaldi worked fine, and Firefox / Chrome continue to work as expected.

Is there any acknowledgement that there's been performance problems in the last few versions, and are there any plans to improve this going forward?
