Meeting Reference Document Optimization

Just started with a new company that has some horrible meeting practices, one of which is using this master spreadsheet that links to ~20 other documents (spreadsheets, ppts, a webpage). All these documents have to be opened, update links pop occurs, some are locked so read only popup occurs, etc... As per powers that be, all of these documents will be looked in the meeting each day, so that is a non-negotiable.

So my question: Is there a way when opening spreadsheets that you can autoselect do not update links and open as read only? or Is there a way to do something automatically like copy the data from each page that we look at as an image and have the images placed in an order in a stand alone document.
