Obs settings recommendations for rx 480?

CPU: i7-8700k GPU: RX 480 Storage: 2x250gGB SSDs 1x500GB HDD Ram: 16GB DDR4 Network: 20up 20down

I'm looking for baseline setting to start streaming and recording fps games. I've tried many times in the past but was never satisfied with my results. Either the quality was too low at 720@60fps or there was massive stream lag at 1080@60 and I was never able to find a good middle ground.

I also have very little knowledge of where to start recording. Any help would be appreciated.

*Thank you all for all your suggestions, last night I streamed and recorded Apex and I'm so surprised how good the quality is by just going off the recommended settings in the top comments. I was seriously over thinking everything before when I first tried streaming/recording.
