Am I the only one who doesn't like pa and ma leaving?

In the final seasons, Charles and Caroline move to the city. It's just so out of character. The whole time he's been saying how he loves the land and the quiet and hates the city, hates Winoka, and saloons. Over and over the show states money isn't everything, true wealth is measured by love and family. And then at the end Charles is like, 'oh have the opportunity to make more money in the city, gonna take it, kbye little house I built with my own hands.'

I literally hate the Carter scenes because they feel like intruders in the little house even though they did nothing wrong.
