How/Where to get started -- [CO]

I just wanted some basic ideas on where to get the whole process started. . . Married for about 10 years, we have 2 children, 7 and 2. Decided with STBX that we wanted to get a divorce from one another. I think we'd like to aim to have a mediated divorce.

My STBX and I have decided that divorce is going to be the best way for us to go, we are pretty reasonable people, and would like to attempt to try and work ourselves through a mediated divorce (not doing pro se, as I'm legally too dumb, and I have 2 children).

How does one get started in this whole process? Is a lawyer needed to draft the initial docs for divorce, or where exactly should I start?
