In defense of Hannah

I’ve seen a lot of disappointment and egging in on Hannah after this episode and it made me feel a certain kind of way. Please hear me out and tell me if you agree or disagree with my points.

1. I don’t excuse Luke and his behavior, but he definitely knows how to use his words. Last episode Hannah told him that he is telling her everything her heart needs to hear. She is in this for love, and she so badly wants to find the right guy for her that she is taking their words and allows them to dictate her feelings for them. Also he is her type physically and sometimes when you want to do the dirty with somebody that can be a negative in the judgment department.

2. I don’t think the guys were telling her about Luke all at one time. Editing is a magical thing, but these guys want to receive a rose so they probably were talking about themselves and their feelings and telling her about Luke in passing or as questioned by producers.

3. Hannah admites in one of her interviews that the history of the FIR recipient being the F1 was stuck in her head during the process and since Luke impressed her the first night, she thought that he MUST be the one. And that definitely clouded her judgment.

4. Many people are wondering why is Hannah keeping him for so long and won’t send him home even when other guys are raising red flags , and I believe that TPTB had a good hand in that. They will exploit everything and anything for the sake of good TV including the possible mental instability of the contestants and the feelings of the lead.

5. And lastly, editing, editing, editing. Yes all those words came out of Luke’s mouth and he did all those things. Also guys talked to Hannah, but it could’ve been shown in a million different ways to tell a million different stories. I think they are editing in such a way for an eventual self implosion of Luke and an empowering moment for Hannah.
