I like going to thrift shops, there is always something that you didn’t expect there. Sometimes a pan that just recently broke at your house, sometimes a carpet that was already missing for long. In your apartment. Today I was wandering through the isles of my local thrift shop and something caught my attention. It was a little pocket watch, nothing fancy. It was probably gold plated, at least it looked shiny. When I opened it I just saw a simple white dial with black indicators on it. The chain was thin and daintily. You would never think that this is of any quality, it looks like it falls apart immediately, but when I actually held it in my hands it was heavy and stable.

There were two buttons, one on the left side and one on the right side. They both matched the color of the watch but were already slightly more used. Not knowing any better I was pressing the buttons, tried if actually something happened with the watch itself… but nothing. It looked quite nice so I decided to keep it anyways. I walked slowly further but didn’t find anything specific so I payed my watch and went back home. On my way home I was again pressing on the buttons first on the right, than on the left. Than I noticed something… Holy Sh**. I saw people walking on the sidewalk, pressed the button, people stopped, pressed the other button, people started again. Never mind going home, this is fucking awesome. I decided to go directly to your place and show my new treasure.

First you was not really impressed, but yes of course you just thought the hat that I placed out of no where on your head was just a cheap trick, but when I gave you the watch, you suddenly stood there and couldn’t close your mouth anymore. I took the watch from your hands again, placed the chain in both our hands, then pressed the button… and we both were not frozen… I looked to you, you look to me and we both started smiling like some evil 12 year old kids who just found a way to prank their parents.
