Jumbo Rocks Review- Site 91

Hi!

I just wanted to write up a little post about my stay in Jumbo Rocks this past weekend. We were at site 91, which was a great site! In fact, multiple people who walked by commented on it. It was a good size (you could probably fit two 4 person tents and still have room for chairs and a "hang out" area. There were some rocks that were immediately behind the campsite that were great for scrambling up and watching the sunset. The site itself was pretty secluded (well, as secluded as you can get for a campground like that) with no one directly across from us for quite a ways, and the people on either side of us were a good ways away and separated by boulders. The bathrooms were only a minute away, but far enough that we could not smell anything or hear doors slamming throughout the night.

It was also very close to Skull Rock trail, so it's not even necessary to drive out to get to some trails.

Only cons were that since the site was parallel parking instead of back in, you didn't really have your car to shield you from the street and people walking by. There were a lot of people walking by since the bathrooms were close by. This could be fixed by bringing another car (once we had another car there we were able to strategically park them so they shielded the site a bit more) or maybe even using a tarp from the back of your car to the boulder nearby. The campground itself is also a bit loud, since there are so many sites (I think 124?) and tons of families. I think the way the boulders are situated makes everything echo.

Also, a couple came and parked their mini RV at our site. I assumed they were just parking there to climb up some rocks for the sunset or to go to a nearby trail (someone else had done this earlier in the day). About an hour later I realized they were planning on staying there, so I had to say something to them . . .
