Android Auto/Renegade 2018 Sport
I poked around and did some searches here regarding Android Auto, and I do see people mentioning it and that it's supposed to be compatible with the 2018 Renegade. If I missed a relevant post, I apologize.
I got my Sport last July but had an iPhone at the time I purchased it. Apple CarPlay always worked and didn't have connection issues. But since I switched to a Note 9 in September, I've never been able to reliably connect to my car using AA. The Renegades also don't show up as a compatible vehicle on the AA site, so it's hard to find any information.
I have gotten it to connect a handful of times, so the AA logo pops up on the bottom of my Uconnect screen where my phone app is. I do notice that it will connect the first time after a phone update but doesn't seem to connect after just restarting the phone. I am also using the USB-C cable that came with my Note, not a third party. I've tried using the UConnect app to check for an update to that system, and I never have an update available. Bluetooth connection for music works fine, but it can be a pain. I am almost always driving alone and would like to use the voice commands. I also generally dislike the bluetooth connection.
Anyone else having the same issues or know how to correct it? If they truly aren't compatible, I understand, but I keep hearing mixed things about whether they are or aren't.
