[Zone 9] please help my pomegrante tree is yellow and the leaves are falling off at a fast rate.

I bought a pomegrante tree 2 months ago in a pot and transferred it to the ground. It was flowering when I got it. But after two weeks the flowers were gone. And the bottom leaves started turning yellow. Now the whole tree is turning yellow and the leaves are falling! I've tried everything. I check the soil about an inch deep if its dry I water.
