Dog Walker , walking away from us 😐, need a boost..
Our dog walker has told us today she is no longer willing to walk Juno (DDB) and will just offer 15/20 min visits to ours . Dog walker has been good , but frustrating it come to this. Juno is nervous reactive and we are doing weekly training and she is showing some signs of improvement , but ultimately she has decided she is too much hassle to walk. I can see it from her side, why walk one big pain that is difficult to concentrate on in the pack. Buy I can't shake the thought of her being able to walk two small dogs in her place as a contributing factor, can't blame her I suppose.
Anyway onwards we go, I'm hoping to not be paying £8 a day for someone to just let her out , so I'm gonna try transitioning to a walk at 05:00 before work then she's likely to be home alone then from 07:00 to 17:15/18:00 at worst then an evening walk .
Has anyone done a similar transition, from daily 90minute walks in middle of day and short walk/evening training to approx 1 hour walks at either end of day ? She's not destructive thankfully and is lovely about the house, just zero confidence outside of it! Hopefully, someone has something positive to say to get over this deflated feeling.
