As an analogy lets see the entire history of humanity as a child growing up, on the development of the collective.

So awhile back I made this analogy and id like to dig in a little deeper.

People often wonder why the world has become so victimized yet apathic, why where stuck in this post-modernstic circlejerk, and why everything has both become a joke and not to be joked at. The use of recreative drugs has increased aswell. If we look at the stages of life of just one indivual there is one stage in particular that has all the same symptoms namely :

puberty.

So might I propose that humanity as a whole is going through a giant transition period similar to how a child has to go through puberty and thus this post-modernstic stage of misinformation is only temporary.

At the dawn of humanity we where all living in a state of unconsciousness either as primates or as the religions formed in the deserts, we all had an ego then but all the personality functions in itself where inherently equal. This is very similar to how a baby or young child behaves, untill it develops its ego.

Now lets say material science is the projection of the egos need of control and logic

Now if this is established we can take a dive into history and try to pinpoint the exact moment the collective ego was formed, at first we might say that it was ancient greece who developed the collective ego, yet if we look at the ideas of the greek philosophers they often come from the unconscious and arent build on the basis of science. Its mostly speculative and stemming from Eros.

So might I suggest the birth of the collective ego was The Rennaisance, this is the moment the thinking function became stronger than the other functions which as Nietzsche said killed God, which is similar to how a child eventually slowly loses its inner child. Or an ego possesed indivual becomes the nihilistic athiest. So if we look at the development of the ego in a child it is estimated around the moment they turn 5. Might I add that this isnt a critique at the ego as the ego is of utmost importance to any healthy indivual that wishes to partake in society. All our issues exist because our collective "brain" has not yet matured.

So we could estimate our collective to be the age of a fifteen year old. (Thus 3 periods, rennaisance, enlightment, industrilization)

What does this mean for the future of the collective?

Heres some speculation :

The feeling function will return.

The gender war and the image of men and women will changw

The more humanity advances the faster people indivuate

And lastly We will stay in this post-modernistic state for awhile, and like a moody teen wanting to kill himself we need to try our best to get through

Edit : now if reincarnation is real this would mean not only do we indivuate each lifetime we also get a step closer to collective indivuation each generation, which perhaps is the goal of sentient life?
