Severe RAM management issues on Pixel 3a
Hi everyone. While I've read others talking about Pixel 3's RAM management issues seemingly being solved (also debatable, since it may be more related to rebooting the phone), RAM management issues have been problematic for my Pixel 3a. Coming from an iPhone 6s, then to a Galaxy S8, and now the Pixel 3a, I'm experiencing RAM management problems that I have not noticed on my other devices. I would not consider myself a heavy user. I do not use any social media apps, and my daily use consists of Spotify, web browsing, Kakaotalk, texting, and email (Gmail and Outlook).
For example, running Spotify while browsing the web browser (I use Lightning browser, one based on Chromium), the music stops after 5 minutes. I never have battery saver on unless below 20%, and even turned off battery optimization for Spotify and Lightning.
Another example is playing songs from Spotify while running a sound recording app (I like to listen and play guitar along with it). I use Easy Voice Recorder (a better app than the name sounds), and if I'm running Spotify in the background, the song stops in less than 2 minutes.
Rebooting nor turning off battery optimization does not help with this issue. I believe that it is not the fact that it is 4gb that is the cause -- my Galaxy S8 has the exact same amount.
I'm looking to see if anyone else has been having a similar issue. For those looking to replicate the issue, try playing music on Spotify and then open up Google Maps, and then try using it for a few minutes (search for nearby restaurants, route to a destination and check out the details, play around with settings on the app). In no less than 8 minutes, the music will stop playing.
EDIT: I'm on the June update by the way. I'm still experiencing the same issues.
