Nobody should be allowed to drive simply because they have a license

There are enough morons on the road who drive like they own the damn thing and have next to no competence in actually handling a machine that can turn a grown man into a disabled, invalid or chutney.

A license gives you permission to drive a vehicle, not a right to do so. If you wanna commute that bad, use public transport and reserve your vehicles for shorter trips or very long rides.

A million or more people die every year due to road accidents or become injured. Don't risk being one of them. You might be a decent driver, but there's no guarantee the fellow next to you is one, too.

Also there should be a mandatory road competence test twice a year for every license holder. Anyone who fails, gets the boot.
