Having a hard time flipping the switch between personas
My Dom(and husband) and I have recently decided to make our bdsm arrangement 24/7, with allowances for when life happens. We have two kids, and have all kinds of fun little code words we use around the kids so they remain clueless. Recently though, daily life has been strenuous, both kids are sick, now I'm sick, house work is slacking because I'm up all night with earaches and runny noses. I'm just downright exhausted. He's currently living in another city, making preparations for us all to move for work. So he's not here to see how crazy things have gotten. He's been getting frustrated because I'm slacking on our rules, or just not in the mood to give a decent performance. At the end of the day when he's ready for our time, I really struggle with taking off the mom hat and really getting into my place as his sub. He's started thinking that I'm regretting our decision, and I'm really struggling to prove that it's in no way regret, I'm just wiped out from this. I try to communicate openly, but I think it might just be coming across as complaining. What can I do to help either make my transition easier? Or to really convince him that I don't regret our decision? He's going to be here this weekend, and I'm hoping by then this cold is gone and we can really get in some much needed in person play time.
