Strange thing happened on update day

So I loaded up the game yesterday to get the update, I paused my update to see if I could find a diamond elk before truracs. The game basically went back to the old system, all my deer on Layton had legacy racks. It was strange, no trophy lodge, no truracs but I had the ability to save my harvest in the trophy manager or taxidermy my harvest. Even after the update the harvest were still there. Anyone else run into this?
