Should I get a tuner?

I can’t think of what it’s called but it’s the thing that you can use to tune your bass haha, basically, I’ve only recently gotten a bass and till now I’ve just been using my piano to tune and this tuning app on my phone. My ear isn’t perfect although the app works quite well (unless it’s reallyyy out of tune) so I was wondering if it’s worth getting a tuner thing? Most people seem to have one 🤷🏻‍♀️
