Guns Will Not Stay Equipped When Dismounting Horse (Not The Passively While Riding Thing)

Repost, because I'm not real familiar with silly things like "flair" on reddit.

This just started happening and I can't seem to get my guns to stay equipped or even in my hands. I know Arthur will put them back after riding for a bit, but this isn't that. Like just now I picked my guns, then not 5 seconds later shot an animal I saw that I needed. When I dismounted to pick it up, my guns were gone back to the horse. Usually when I dismount I'll still have at least the gun I was holding. Anyone know a fix for this if it's a glitch or maybe I'm just now doing something wrong that I wasn't before?

I'll even take a link to a topic where this may have been addressed. I tried searching "guns unequipped when dismounting", but got no results.

UPDATE: Seems fine now. Like most of the glitches I've encountered, simply closing the application completely and relaunching the game appears to have resolved the problem.
