VMWare Horizon and ThinPrint

I've been having this issue for a long while now but I'd like to see if anyone else is impacted. The gist is that ThinPrint redirected printers causes the ThinPrint service to overwrite the Windows default printer. I can't disable ThinPrint because we use it to redirect USB receipt printers to the virtual desktop session. There is a registry change that you can make on the client side that is supposed to stop ThinPrint from attempting to set its printer as default after redirection, but I'm made that registry change it continues to occur. Anyone else experience anything like this?
