Does a headphone amp like the Behringer HA400 work with the Scarlet 2i2 as a way to give both people headphone access?

It seems like it should work but I read something that said the sound quality might not be so good bc the scarlet has a preamp and so does the behringer... how bad of sound quality are we talking? I’m gonna do all mixing and editing afterwards in a DAW so this is just for us to be able to hear ourselves and each other
