iPhone SE won’t let me play all of my music?

A lot of the songs I have on my iPhone SE will no longer play. Instead, when I tap on them, it takes me to an offer for Apple Music. My phone also started deleting some of the songs I bought, and I had to redownload them. Occasionally, a message pops up saying “Your Apple Music membership has expired.” I never had Apple Music. I’ve never done a trial of it nor have I ever purchased it. All of the songs on this iPhone were bought and downloaded from iTunes. I’ve had this phone for two years now, and it’s updated to the latest version. Help!
