Resource pack not showing in available resource packs section

Help

I have the archived WinRar ZIP file in the resource pack folder but when I open the game it doesn't show up in available resource packs

  1. Is it version compatibility?
  2. Maybe you need to unzip it
  3. Probably check if the zip file have like “mcmeta” or something similar

i thought it had to be zipped? ill try unzipping it though

After opening the file, it would be a non folder item that can only be opened with notepad
