P226 threaded barrel Silencerco vs Sig drop in?
I just got my Omega approved and I’m looking for threaded barrel for my MK25 with romeo 1.
- Are these barrels drop in or do they need to be fitted?
- Anyone recommend one or the other, for any reason?

They are drop in however the sig one is metric and left hand threaded and the sico is imperial right hand threaded. That will decide what piston you should buy. I have both, gave the sico to my dad so my MPX and p226 would both be metric (13.5x1 LH). FYI left hand threading can be annoying AF. Both have been flawless drop in replacements to a perfect pistol!
Thanks for pointing that out! I didn’t notice that difference about the threads.
What do you find annoying about LH thread? My sandman ti uses the area 419 adapter and it’s LH thread and I usually have to catch myself as it does feel unnatural. Same reason for you or something else?
Like you said, unnatural... and with multiple cans not running LH, it’s just a lot of awkward back and forth. If if means anything, the thread cap on the sig looks cooler imo haha, otherwise the sico is cheaper as well. Can’t go wrong with either.
