Everybody is still sleeping on Fultz, forgetting that he was the #1 pick in what was considered a really good draft
Hops
CRAZY bounce
His injury shouldn’t affect his hops/ explosiveness right? If anything, it should be a little better because he is a little older and more of a man. He has also been training with NBA level training staffs.
In his 33 games thus far in the NBA he’s still shown his high level athleticism. He’s still very capable of highlight dunks , chase down blocks and quickness in the open floor/getting to the rim.
Although I would argue his injury might have been a factor in his limited aggression in the NBA. There’s just a noticeable discrepancy between how tentative he was for the sixers vs. his days in college. But obviously that is a pattern with a majority of players going from college to pros, ESPECIALLY point guards. So there’s a lot of factors. But I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that he played better in situations where there was relatively low risk. His triple double in his rookie year was in a game where the sixers were already blowing out the Bucks. I think he’ll recover that killer mentality with therapy for his TOS, time and the right situation. I’m incredibly optimistic on his ability to regain that confidence which would unlock that athleticism even further.
John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry, Eric Bledsoe and Reggie Jackson. Say what you will about their faults individually but they have all carved out starting roles at point and they ALL shot in the 20s from 3 in the first two years of their careers.
👏 That's 👏 My 👏 Point 👏 God 👏
TOS killed his career (for now) here’s to hoping he can come back 70-maybe 80% of his previous self.
