Discussing specialty of interest in secondaries?

I always get mixed responses when I ask this question, but how does it look when you discuss your specific career goals at great length in certain secondary responses?

I know we aren't bound to what we say, but does this make us look close-minded or tunnel visioned? For context, one secondary asks me why I like their particular school. In my response, I expressed an interest in their scholarly concentrations and mentioned which area I would pick (neurology).

Edit: Thank you all for your responses. So to clarify, neurology would make sense at the face of my application, as I have spent the past three years doing research in that area, have presented and published my work, and have received national recognition for my work in neuroscience. It's not just a field I'm interested in, it's something I've been passionate for a while, and one of my primary drivers to medicine.

So my only concern is coming off as naive or as someone said "shallow lipped". But it seems as though it would make sense for this particular prompt, and other similar ones, what are your thoughts?
